Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzing Powder Review!

Hello my loves, I have another review for you all today. Man I have been churning out the reviews lately, yall are going to start calling me Ashley the Review Guru! LMAO. I just like to do reviews, especially on the more expensive products because I want you guys to get the most bang for your buck. 

So enough chit chat! As I said in my NARS lippie review, the company Apothica sent me a gift card to purchase some items. My second item was this bronzer by Too Faced. This was my first product from them and I have been obsessed with bronzer lately so I said why not? 

TOO FACED CHOCOLATE SOLEIL MATTE BRONZING POWDER $29

OK, Too Faced has many bronzers but I was drawn to this one over the other ones because I wanted something that would show up on my skin. I wanted the Pink Leopard bronzer sooo bad but the swatches were so light I didn't see the point. 

PROS

*The packaging is SO cute! Like, totally adorable. I love it so much. Too Faced is a company like Urban Decay or Benefit for example, they really put thought into what girls like and what is attractive to our eyes. As much as I love MAC, their packaging is sooo blah. Just imagine if all of the MAC packaging was still the same, except instead of black it was magenta! *Perfection* 

*This bronzer has the standard 10 grams which is good. Most people who use bronzer use it daily so you want a good amount. It is the same size as my MAC bronzer or Milani bronzer.

*It really smells like chocolate! I guess that could be because it is made with real cocoa lol. The smell is lovely.

CONS

*OK, now usually I am pretty good at picking products but I FAILED miserably with this one. I researched and everything but it just doesn't do ANYTHING for me. 

*The color is kinda brown, a little darker than my face powder but lighter than my other bronzers. When I put it on it just looks ruddy and blehh. 

*I think this bronzer is perfect for my lighter skinned dolls, like olive complexion and lighter. 

OVERALL I GIVE THIS PRODUCT A C-

This product did get high reviews so if you are lighter skinned I'd go for it but for my darker babies, nope! That is really why I stick with MAC because they really consider women of color when creating their makeup. I won't give up on Too Faced though, if some of my women of color have any good bronzers from them let me know! Bye my loves.

COVERGIRL LIPSTICK IN "ENCHANTRESS" $6

OK, I lost this lipstick weeks ago and I've been so lost without it! I honestly could not figure out the name of it. I was in Krogers today and I finally found it! *Reunited and it feels so good* This is the best pink lippie ever because it is perfect for everyday wear. It is sheer and gorgeous. I'd say it's a nice dupe for MAC's Saint Germain. This should be a lipstick in every girl's collection. I love it and it's only $6!

BATH & BODY WORKS HOLIDAY CANDLES $20

Now that I work at Bath & Body I have a lot of time to smell all of  their new products. Their holiday candles do not disappoint. They just smell like Christmas! My favorite is Vanilla Snowflake. 

KIM K HIGH BUNS

I have been a lazy fashionista lately! It's a crucial time in the semester and I've been crazy stressed with homework. High buns save the day every time. I still look put together and I can create the look within minutes. If you wanna be extra jazzy you can add a pretty scarf or jeweled headband.

AVEENO DAILY CLEANSING PADS $8

Let me introduce you all to the new love of my life! I ran out of my Noxzema pads so I ran to CVS to buy some more, and they were out. I decided to try these and I'm so glad I did because they are soooo much better. The pads are self foaming so it is like giving yourself a mini facial and they are twice the size of most other cleansing pads. They have acne medicine in them too but I notice they aren't as drying and harsh as the Noxzema pads. One pad gets off ALL of my makeup, I'm definitely a fan now.

THE FALL WEATHER

Many of you are probably well into winter by now but here in Texas we are just now starting to see the temperature drop. I love the cold weather because of all the fashion that goes with it. It's fun incorporating some scarves and cardigans into the mix.

Style Star Throwback: Scarlett O'Hara

Calling all Southern Belles, this post is for you! Gone with the Wind has always been one of my favorite movies and books. It was such an epic drama and a classic to this day. The fashion in that movie stood out as well. My friend Sade thought Scarlett would make a great "Style Star Throwback" so let's take a look at some of her most famous looks!

Viven Leigh was just freakin gorgg, they just don't make stars anymore! Who could forget Scarlett's famous green dress made of drapes? If you love southern accents, making fun of the "Yankess" and excellent acting you will love this movie. And wasn't Clark Gable a hottie? Oooo la la let me go! Goodnight yall. NARS "Schiap" Lipstick Review!

Hey guys! The company Apothica was nice enough to send me a gift card to pick some things off of there website, this lippie was one of my choices. I don't own any lippies from NARS so I thought why not give it a try? Of course I picked a pink one...!

NARS LIPSTICK IN "SCHIAP" $24

PROS

*I love the packaging for starters! Yall know I pay attention to stuff like that.

*This lipstick is soooo pigmented, I mean the color payoff is incredible. 

*I have a lot of pink lippies but I can tell this one will be my new fave. It really is a "Barbie" pink. It's such a fun color and you will feel happy just to have it on your lips.

CONS

*This lipstick has a very matte finish and can apply a little uneven. You have to apply it a few times to get that opaque look.

*THE PRICE!! Now I know why I don't have any lipsticks from NARS, geez $24 bucks for a lipstick!!?? It is a pretty color but if you desire a high end lipstick, I'm sure you can find something similar for cheaper.

OVERALL I GIVE THIS PRODUCT AN A-. 

I really do love this lipstick and I am happy with my purchase. If you have never bought anything from Apothica.com I would recommend them. They carry makeup lines from NARS, Too Faced, Stila etc. The shipping was fast and they discount many products and give coupon codes :)

(I have been laying off the eyebrow pencil lately since my natural brows are now the exact shape I want them to be. The "growing out" process sucks but the end result is fabulous!)

(I have been using these as a base for my eyeshadow and they give the most beautiful dimension to the color. These are now a staple item in my makeup routine.)

Style Star Throwback: Elizabeth Taylor

It is Style Star Throwback time and the lovely lady of the month is Elizabeth Taylor! I loved her dark looks from those thick eyebrows to her violet eyes, it's no wonder she was Kim K's idol! Take a look at some of her loveliest photos.

Many people always say that Elizabeth Taylor was a beautiful person on the inside and the outside. She was an Oscar winner, a humanitarian and absolutely gorgeous. She truly was the the original BLING QUEEN. 

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Review!

It's review time again! I did a swap with my friend Candace and I finally got my hands on the Naked 2 palette! Whoop, whoop. Check out my review to see how fabulous this palette is!

URBAN DECAY NAKED 2 PALETTE $50

PROS

*The packaging is fabulous. I love the aluminum material the palette is made out of, it's so chic.

*The amount of colors you get in this palette is phenomenal. I use this palette almost daily.

*The brush that comes with the palette is very high quality.

*These shadows are SUPERR pigmented. You don't need a lot to get a bold look.

CONS

*I HATE the color Foxy, it sucks I just overlook it.

*These shadows have a lot of fallout, but that's the same with majority of Urban Decay's eyeshadows. But with a little primer you'll be good.
