Style Star Throwback: Elizabeth Taylor

It is Style Star Throwback time and the lovely lady of the month is Elizabeth Taylor! I loved her dark looks from those thick eyebrows to her violet eyes, it's no wonder she was Kim K's idol! Take a look at some of her loveliest photos.

Many people always say that Elizabeth Taylor was a beautiful person on the inside and the outside. She was an Oscar winner, a humanitarian and absolutely gorgeous. She truly was the the original BLING QUEEN. 

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette Review!

It's review time again! I did a swap with my friend Candace and I finally got my hands on the Naked 2 palette! Whoop, whoop. Check out my review to see how fabulous this palette is!

URBAN DECAY NAKED 2 PALETTE $50

PROS

*The packaging is fabulous. I love the aluminum material the palette is made out of, it's so chic.

*The amount of colors you get in this palette is phenomenal. I use this palette almost daily.

*The brush that comes with the palette is very high quality.

*These shadows are SUPERR pigmented. You don't need a lot to get a bold look.

CONS

*I HATE the color Foxy, it sucks I just overlook it.

*These shadows have a lot of fallout, but that's the same with majority of Urban Decay's eyeshadows. But with a little primer you'll be good.

My New Favorite Nude Lippie: Smashbox in "Posy Pink" Review

Ahh yes another review! Believe it or not this is only my SECOND purchase ever from Smashbox Cosmetics. As I have stated previously, I only recently got into high end makeup in the past year or so. I was in Sephora the same day as my interview with Bath and Body Works (I got the job btw, YAY!) and I have been in desperate need of a nude lippe. After trying some from NARS, Sephora brand, Kat Von D etc I FINALLY found one I fell in love with.

SMASHBOX BE LEGENDARY LIPSTICK IN "POSY PINK" $19

PROS

*The texture is so freaking creamy and just perfect! For my women of color yall know nude lipstick on us can look an ashy, hot mess! Not this formula, it is just lovely.

*The color payoff is great, it is definitely a nude color with just a hint of pink, which I love because I have more than enough pink lipsticks. This lippie has a little shimmer in it but it does not overpower the formula.

*I have full lips naturally but this lipstick gives them a little extra oomph! This is perfect for my ladies who are lacking in the lip area. 

CONS

*Eh, the price is a little steep. About $21 with tax for a lippie is a lot but lipstick lasts a long time and Smashbox is a worthy brand.

OVERALL I GIVE THIS PRODUCT AN A+

Maybelline Color Tattoo Review!

I know I am SO late on this product, like SO late. I did a swap with a friend of mine and she happened to have a few, and after I swatched those I had to have them. Check out the details below...

MAYBELLINE COLOR TATTOOS $7

20 PAINTED PURPLE

20 Painted Purple, 30 Pomegranate Punk, 05 Too Cool

PROS

*The color pay off is the business! It is SO pigmented. You don't need to put a whole lot of the product on your lid to get the opaque look you want.

*They don't last 24HRS (duh) but they do last a LONG time. I'd say up to 8 hours.

*4 grams is excellent because you don't need a whole lot.

*I like the packaging because it stores easily and looks cute on your vanity or makeup trays.

CONS

*These aren't as "upscale" as the MAC Paint Pots, but you also have to consider that those are $19! LOL, these will do the job just fine but I'm just letting you know they aren't equally comparable.

OVERALL I GIVE THIS PRODUCT AN A!

Milani Baked Bronzer Review in Glow

Hey guys! I have another review for you all. So bronzers, highlights etc are something I have recently gotten into. I only own one bronzer, MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Dark, which is a good product but I wanted something more shimmery. Since MAC Gold Deposit is not in the budget right now I thought I'd give this product a try, keep reading for the details.

MILANI BAKED BRONZER IN GLOW $10

*Left: DRY, *Right: WET

PROS

*The price is really good, quality bronzers aren't cheap so it was nice to find one under $20.

*Milani is known for their "baked" products and I really like that because it makes the product much richer. 

*You get a lot of product, 7 grams is great for $10 so this will last you a long time.

*This product works for women of color, it gives a great highlight without being too overpowering. I apply some right above my blush and it gives a lovely finish.

CONS

*I like this bronzer but it's not as pigmented as I would like. Does it show up? Yes. Do you have to layer it? Yes. 

I give this product a solid B! After I run out I probably wouldn't buy another one just because I am soo impressed with MAC's Gold Deposit!! LOL, yall know I'm a high end makeup fiend but this product is great if you need a bronzer/highlight without breaking the bank.

So far I own "Cinderfella" and "Young Punk" and I wear them almost daily! They create the perfect smokey eye without having to use three eyeshadows. I am obsessed and I cannot wait until I own all of the colors.

MAC STUDIO SCULPT FOUNDATION $30

Now that the weather has cooled down, you will feel more comfortable wearing a full face of makeup. Studio Sculpt is the BOMB and it lasts a long time. You will have a matte finish without your face being too dry or too shiny.

NARS BLUSH IN "ORGASM" $25

There is a reason why this is the #1 blush year after year. I tried it on in Sephora a couple of days ago and OMGEE it was gorgg. My skin looked radiant, I will be purchasing this asap. Ahh it is perfect. 

TOP 5 FALL HAIR PRODUCTS

ONE 'N' ONLY ARGAN OIL $8

This product is so essential to my hair regime I honestly cannot go a day without it. It tames frizzies, it gives a wonderful shine and it is NOT too greasy. I love it! I use it on my extensions and my natural hair and I can tell my hair is stronger and is building a shine from my use of this product, you can find it at Sally's Beauty Supply if you are interested.

KERA CARE OIL SHEEN $14

I use this on my hair about once a week and that really is all I need. With the weather changing your skin and hair might be dryer than usual. This product always saves the day, and it is not greasy.

OLIVE OIL CONDITIONING PACKET $2

I have been using these packets since high school, they are wonderful and I love the smell. I deep condition my natural hair every two weeks with this and it makes my hair stronger and gives it more shine. For $2 you can't beat that.

JAM SMOOTHING GEL $5

My edges must be on point at all times! I can't stand messy edges it just throws off my whole look. This product is a favorite because it will give you that sleek look without the flaky effects of regular gel.

NEXXUS HUMECTRUS SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER $20 EACH

I won these in a giveaway and I have been hooked ever since, this product is great for all hair textures. It isn't drying or too heavy and my hair feels so smooth afterwards and it works wonders on extensions as well.

O.P.I. IN "BLACK ONYX" $10

Black nails in the fall are like my "signature look" !! I just feel so edgy, cool and Victoria Beckham-esque. When I want to glam I add a coat of glitter on top.

O.P.I IN "YOGA-TA-GET-THIS-BLUE" $10

Dark blue is always sexy for fall and a great alternative to black. This will probably be my next mani color because I just love how rich and luxe the color looks on my nails.

This is every celebrities favorite red carpet color and I see why; it is so universal and classy. You will feel so clean and fresh with this nail color and it matches any ensemble *winner*

Ahh the classic grey manicure! This color is a popular one every fall because you look hip without being too loud all at the same time. I love how opaque this color is as well.

This has become my favorite perfume EVER! Anytime I wear it I receive tons of compliments. If you like vanilla, you will adore this scent. It is strong just like I like it. If you are wanting to splurge on perfume this fall, this is the one to splurge on.

VIVA LA JUICY BY JUICY COUTURE $80

Viva la Juicy has been my favorite for a long time (until Burberry Brit came along), it is still one of my go to scents for fall. I just can't get enough of it, anytime I run out I go out and buy a new bottle. My perfume collection isn't complete without it.

TEASE BY VICTORIA'S SECRET $50

This perfume screams SEXY! I love, love, love it for nights out. I have the lotion also. This is a strong scent that will make an impression anytime you wear it; and look at that bottle, FAB!

PINK CHIFFON BODY CREAM BY BATH AND BODY WORKS $12.50

Thick body creams are a necessity for me when it gets colder because I absolutely despise dry skin. This body cream has become my BFF, I can't get enough. I have one in my bedroom, bathroom and purse. It is the perfect mix of vanilla and fruity scents. Full review coming soon.

I love vanilla as you can tell and I adore a good body butter. I put this on every time I take a bath so my skin can feel smooth and stay hydrated.
