Chanel and Clinique Review

Hello all! I am here to do a review for you guys today. Enjoy! I went to Macys today and I had never noticed they had a Chanel counter! I have never bought any makeup from Chanel so I said why not?

I really needed some foundation too, Chanel had a nice one but it was WAY out of my budget today so I bought one from Clinique. I'll review both!

CHANEL ENIGMA EYESHADOW QUAD $58

So Chanel had many eyeshadow quads but I chose this one because it is neutral and I wanted a nice one for fall!

PROS
*The packaging is GORGG! It is so sleek and sophisticated. The  CC logo just makes the quad. I love the way it looks against my other makeup.
*The colors are very pigmented without having to pile on a lot of color.

CONS
*The price is insaneee, this quad was $58! But it is Chanel so it is going to be more expensive than other brands.
*The pans are a little small, for almost $60 bucks they could make them bigger.
*It comes with sponge applicators *eewww* again for almost $60 bucks can I get a brush?

OVERALL
*Even though this product was expensive I would TOTALLY buy more makeup from Chanel! In fact I am going to buy more makeup from Chanel. Whenever I have the funds I will keep adding to my new collection.

 CLINIQUE STAY MATTE FOUNDATION $23

I went back and forth between Clarins, Clinique and Bare Minerals but I eventually chose Clinique.

PROS
*The formula is matte which I like because I have combination skin.
*There is a lot of product so I know it will last a long time.
*The color matches PERFECTLY and the finish is soooo smooth.
*The price is WONDERFUL.
*This is a great product for women of color because the range of color goes very deep.

CONS
*None! Buy this product, it's wonderful. But I do still want to buy some Bare Minerals because I tried some and it was divine.

I hope you guys liked this review, tell me what you think! Later <3

  4. I've heard awful things about Chanel foundation so I've yet to try them! I don't know why they make sponge applicators, who actually uses them?!

    1. I actually REALLY liked the foundation she put on me and she said it was popular BUT it was $50 soooo I'm like you can get more for your money elsewhere.

  5. Great reviews :) The Chanel eyeshadows look lovely, such a shame you don't get a bit more of them. And I agree with you about the sponge applicators - brushes are so much better! xx
